There are two ways you can contribute Articles to Photographers Tripod, the first one is to send in your contribution as a word document and we will create the article giving you full credits, you must be a member to contribute, send your articles to membersarticles@photographerstripod.com
If you would like to contribute and publish your own articles using Microsoft Live Writer the here is how, firstly email admin@photographerstripod.com let us know that you want to contribute if you have a sample of your work include a link or a sample.
This site is family friendly and we want to be as un-restrictive as possible so please keep content appropriate and read the websites Terms and Conditions
Step 1: Download Microsoft’s Live Writer it will offer you other free products but you can just select the one, if you blog on other sites this application is compatible with many
If you have used Live Writer before then you will know how to create an account, if not the first time you use live writer you will see the following screens
Choose the Option “Other Blog Service”
Tip: Mouse Over Image and Click to View
Add the website address, “http://www.photographerstripod.com”
Enter your website Username and password when you press next it will validate your account
Drill Down and choose “Metawebblog API”
Then copy and paste this into the Remote posting URL for your blog:
http://www.photographerstripod.com/metapost.ashx?key=DNNArticle
Live Writer will Download the website theme for your articles choose “yes”
Save you connection and you are ready to start, firstly write the title
Next write summary of your article, once you have done this select “Split Post”
Now you can write or paste the text and images, you can insert an image from the toolbar
On the advanced tab set the width to “450”, there are other options like word wrap borders etc, have a play with these
You will not see the article if you do not give it a category, so from the footer Set Categories
From the Top Menu choose “Save Draft” as this will enable you to change the Article and update it
Now just press “Publish” and it will transfer it to the website
Visit the website log on and go to the articles page and you will be able to manage comments and your articles, view the article any changes just do them in Live Writer, Save and Publish
