This little Free application was designed to help SlideShowPro users that do not have Flash or Photoshop and are not sure about creating Galleries and editing the XML files
What does it do?
It allows you to upload your images and it will create the galleries, images and thumbnails, it saves the metadata in small xml packets, then you will have the chance to edit the Titles, Captions and Descriptions as you want
It will also allow you to choose which Albums and Images to Export, with the options of Export the whole Gallery or just the XML only all data is in the SlideShowPro format and ready for FTP uploading to the web
This application is written fully in Microsoft VB.NET with VB Express 2008, it does not ask for your passwords and saves all its data in folders containing the thumbnails and tiny xml packets
The Application can be downloaded from the Downloads page and is licenced as GNU royalty free

Import Image Management
Download the software and run setup to install using the windows installer, note that to un-install you will need to use the add or remove Windows applications, this application may require additional free DotNet Framework 3.5 from Microsoft you will be prompted to install it if required, once installed just run the application and this screen will appear, Select the menu Open > Import Window
The Import Window will open this will allow you to manage thumbnails and data in Categories and Sub-Categories
For our Example we will use a Category of Britain and Sub-Category of London
Once you have entered this you can import your Images as thumbnails, these are just small high quality images the software creates, it will also read any embedded IPTC metadata and store this in very small XML packet files
Choose the folder or select the Images you want to Import and use in your slide show
Here you will see the Images being imported, we have Imported two folders London and Coastal
You can now Add, Edit and Delete the Images and Data, the application will auto save or you can choose Save
Gallery Management
Close the Import Window and Open the Gallery Window, enter a name for your Gallery, this is for your reference only so it is optional, but it might be handy later if you have a few galleries
Do the same for the Album, the Title and Description you enter is used by SlideShowPro, this Auto Saves
The Application will only let you choose images or a folder from the images that you uploaded earlier
Here are our Thumbnails you can then edit, un-check them if you do not want to included an image in the Export
You can just Drag the Images into the Order you want them to Appear
Select any Images and click the Empty picture box, this will be then become the Album Image
On the Export Tab enter the Image and Thumbnail sizes, you can also drill down and select the Folder to Export your Gallery or xml File to, you will need to checkmark the Albums you want to include in the Export
Now we can export our XML File or create a Gallery
The albums will show the images and progress bar as they are exported, please be patient as the export times may vary based on the chosen export file size, that is the last step in the Galleries
The SlideShow
You will require the SlideShowPro from http://www.slideshowpro.net to use this application
This Gallery is the one produced by this application and uses the Standalone Slide Show
